FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Phoenix-based government affairs organization launches consumer advocacy website
Phoenix, Ariz., March 25, 2011 – Phoenix Valley Government Affairs announces the release of two online platforms to encourage open public discussions regarding current and upcoming city, county and state policy issues. The website, www.phoenixvalleygovernmentaffairs.com, and newly developed blog, www.TheNonPCAdvocate.com, hope to foster candid dialogue and exploration of the bills, trends, issues and events affecting taxpayers residing in the city of Phoenix, Maricopa County and Arizona.
Comprised of straight forward yet entertaining informational content on key platforms paired with an open forum blog to comment on the topics, the website offers subscribers the ability to sign up for free and participate openly in debate and healthy sound-off. Although conservative in tone, creator S A Everly hopes the site will attract a diverse group of commentators including opposing thought leaders, to best facilitate frank and honest exploration of the issues.
“There’s a lot of spending of taxpayer dollars right now, with very little discussion or accountability,” said Everly. “As a taxpayer who spends a significant amount of time asking difficult questions in our city offices and at the state Capitol, I wanted to offer the public insight to the significant changes happening around them; changes that will drastically shape their future,” said S A Everly.
In parallel with the current dynamic political climate, members are welcome to offer suggestions of additional “issues that matter.” Currently, the site focuses on the Roosevelt Irrigation District (RID) $40million lawsuit against various local companies and government entities, the possible corruption of the Maricopa County Board of Supervisors and Phoenix’s unenforced building codes in District 7, represented by City Councilman - Mike Nowakowski.
The site was conceptualized and developed over several months to best accommodate consumer education and an open dialogue concept. All individuals interested in exploring the issues can visit www.TheNonPCAdvocate.com.
